Raphael Warnock was born in Savannah, Georgia, in 1969. He earned a bachelor's degree psychology from Morehouse College in 1991 and a master's degree in divinity, master's degree in philosophy, and Ph.D. from Union Theological Seminary.12 Warnock's career experience includes working as the senior pastor of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, the senior pastor of Douglas Memorial Community Church in Baltimore, Maryland, and an assistant pastor of Abyssinian Baptist Church in Harlem, New York.3 He served as the chairman of the board of directors of the New Georgia Project.45
