First Inboxing Report: Spam Filter Bias Significantly Favors Democrats
Inboxing bias remains an issue for Republican campaigns as spam filters unfairly target our campaign communications.
In our first study of inboxing trends across both parties, we clearly see this bias.
Here are the key results:
We looked back over a 90-day period, analyzing 12,000+ emails
Democrats inboxed 64% of the time, with 36% going to spam
Republicans inboxed 46% of the time, with 54% going to spam
In the last 7 days of the test period, the gap widened, with 58% of Republican emails going to spam, while only 30% of Democratic emails did.
Note that our seeds engage with all content equally, regularly opening, clicking, and showing intent to receive communications.
